The “Toolkit for Award Writing” is a guide prepared by the International Bar Association (“IBA”), which contains guidelines to assist young arbitrators in drafting arbitration awards.

In view of the growth of the Brazilian arbitration community and the need to provide our audience with greater access to the content of the guide, in order to contribute to the drafting of clear, complete and fully enforceable awards, the CBAr and the IBA have joined forces to produce the Portuguese version of the Toolkit.

The translation into Portuguese was prepared by Laura França Pereira and Matheus Bastos Oliveira, and reviewed by André Abbud, Debora Visconte, Fabiana Leite, Felipe Moraes, Lucas Diniz and Vera Barros, from the Board of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr).

The footnotes with references to Brazilian law were prepared by João Bosco Lee and Cristiano Zanetti, with the assistance of Fernando Haddad, Lucas Diniz and André Luiz Pignatari Filho.
